The core idea behind the program is that everyone can make finger licking restaurant grade food at home with humbleness and the ingredients inside their fridge.
Chef & My Fridge started in Korea in 2014. In each episode, the responsible hosts’ invasion a celebrity’s fridge then take a mental preparation and prepare a meal within fifteen minutes. A pair of chef fought against each other in this fifteen-minute cooking battle in order to soothe the guest judges.

The first half of the show is nothing but kind of talk show where hosts usually interview celebrity guests whoever appeared. If you are more interested in cooking rather than watching a talk show of Korean TV personalities, you can jump into the second half.
In the competition, the ingredients may be turned out common or in a limited amount. However, with this kind of difficulties where they cannot choose whatever they one, they have that scope to show their creativity. A number of available ingredients vary in each episode because the chefs must have to choose their ingredients from another person’s fridge. By the same token, lots of circumstances can appear like one fridge is full of fresh ingredients and another is full of frozen foods or even rotten foods.

Americans or other Europeans may not be familiar with Korean guests but the fridge does a solid job in terms of capturing their characters.
You can watch Korean shows in YouTube or lots of other streaming websites with subtitle but Netflix is doing a good job by releasing TV shows outside in the US. Enjoy the original content from Netflix!
