Hyderabadi Dal Mutton Gosht | Dal Gosht Recipe

In order to prepare Hyderabadi Dal Mutton Gosht you need following ingredients-

    Dal Mutton Gosht
  1. One cup of Toor Dal
  2. Six to eight pieces of Mutton on bone
  3. One large sliced onions
  4. Ginger
  5. One by four cup Mint leaves
  6. One tablespoon turmeric powder
  7. Two tablespoon Chili powder
  8. One tablespoon coriander powder
  9. One tablespoon Garam Masala
  10. Salt to taste
  11. One by four cup chopped Tomato
  12. Juice of a lemon
  13. One liter Water
  14. Fried onions for garnish

Cooking Method

First, we need to wash and soak the split green peas at least for an hour. Then we need to pour water into a pressure cooker, add Toor dal, mutton, turmeric, salt, ginger and cook for 4-5 whistles.
Beside this, we will add oil in a pan and heat it up then add sliced onion, a pinch of salt and then let them turn golden brown, reserve few for garnish. We will add tomatoes and cook them until they are nice and soft then start adding the masalas - coriander powder, red chili powder, and turmeric powder and garam masala.
We will follow up the dal and add some water to it. Mix the dal into the masala properly
from here on, cook it for sometimes until the flavor of well-cooked meat comes out. Now our Dal Gosht is ready to be served. Before serving to garnish it with mint leaves and juice of half a lime for a good presentation & flavor accordingly.

You can also add beef instead of mutton according to your taste. Enjoy!
